I am Rohan Mandal, working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering at Haldia Institute of Technology, West Bengal, since 2011. I completed my B.Tech in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from Haldia Institute of Technology and M.Tech in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from the University of Calcutta. My academic and research interests include biomedical instrumentation, biomedical signal processing, machine learning applications in healthcare, IoT-based monitoring systems, and intelligent automation. My research primarily focuses on Bio-signal based emotion recognition, human activity analysis, and assistive healthcare technologies, with publications in reputed conferences and edited volumes. I am actively involved in teaching courses such as Sensors and Transducers, Power Electronics, IoT, and Basic Electronics. I also engage in guiding undergraduate projects and mentoring students in interdisciplinary research aimed at developing technology-driven solutions for real-world societal needs.
