Knowledge. Research. Discovery.
A premier academic library serving 17 disciplines across 16 departments with print, digital, and research resources.
Aryabhatta
Central Library
The library occupies a unique place in the academic and research activities of the institute. Housed in a separate three-storied building on the southern side of the main building, it spans a total floor space of 4,402 sqm across three reading halls capable of accommodating 300 students simultaneously.
Aryabhatta Central Library caters to seventeen disciplines comprising sixteen academic departments and the Department of Basic and Applied Sciences. All in-house operations are fully automated using Koha software (v22.05.15), providing web-based access through an Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). Seventeen departmental libraries are also connected to the Central Library network.
The library extends its services beyond physical walls — including materials accessible by electronic means and a modern e-resources collection with a variety of digital tools available around the clock.
