Professor & Dean, School of Engineering
Welcome to the School of Engineering at Haldia Institute of Technology. Engineering is not merely a discipline — it is a way of thinking, problem-solving, and building the world around us. Our school is dedicated to producing graduates who are technically sound, industry-ready, and equipped to lead in an ever-evolving technological landscape.
With over 26 years of teaching experience and nearly a decade of industry exposure working with organisations such as Development Constant Ltd. and The Kuljian Corporation (USA), I bring both academic depth and practical perspective to this role. My own research in fault analysis of induction motors using AI techniques reflects the kind of interdisciplinary, application-driven inquiry we encourage across all our programmes.
To every student of this school — I urge you to go beyond the curriculum. Experiment, collaborate, and never shy away from asking difficult questions. Engineering at its finest is about making a difference, and it begins right here in our classrooms and laboratories. I look forward to supporting your growth every step of the way.
