Dr. Barnali Bej was born in 1982 in the state of West Bengal, India. She received her B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology, WB, India in the year 2005 and M. Tech. in Chemical Engineering from University of Calcutta, WB, India in the year 2007. She received Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering in the year 2012 from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, West Bengal, India. In 2016, she joined as an Assistant Professor at Haldia Institute of Technology, Haldia, WB, India and continuing till date. Her research area includes Chemical Reaction Engineering, Heterogeneous Catalysis, Nano-material preparation & Nano-catalysis, Renewable energy generation, Biofuel, Adsorption, Energy storage system, Waste water treatment, Waste management. She has published 14 research papers and more than 50 conference papers in various national and international conferences.
