Dr Sayantani Chall completed her M.Sc from Burdwan University. She received Prof. Arun Shankar Basu Gold medal Award from Burdwan University. She did her PhD from Jadavpur University. She had did postdoctoral research work at CSIR-IICB. She received DST-Nanomission postdoctoral fellowship, SERB-National postdoctoral fellowship and ICMR-DHR Young scientist award. She has expertise and experience on design, synthesis and Characterizations of Nanostructured Materials (Mostly Gold nanoparticles and nanoclusters, Magnetite nanoparticles, rare earth nanorods etc.), Design, synthesis and Characterizations of Nanostructured Materials (Mostly Gold nanoparticles and nanoclusters, Magnetite nanoparticles, rare earth nanorods etc.), bio-physicochemical interactions of proteins with nanoparticles: effect of nanoparticle surface properties, surface charge, shape and size on protein stability; mechanistic study of luminescence nanoclusters. Currently she has started working on developing sustainable nanomaterials for waste-water treatment. She has received outstanding paper award for 2025 and 2026 regional science congress by WBDST-BT.
