I am Saikat Shome, a Civil Engineer specializing in Environmental Engineering, currently pursuing my Ph.D. at IIEST, Shibpur. I completed my M.Tech from NIT Durgapur and have been serving as an Assistant Professor at Haldia Institute of Technology since 2016. My academic and research work focuses on sustainable environmental solutions, particularly in water and wastewater treatment, groundwater contamination, and heavy metal transport in soils. I have a keen interest in developing eco-friendly construction materials, including geopolymer-based systems and recycled geomaterials for pavement applications. My research integrates experimental investigations with numerical modeling tools. I have published several research papers in reputed journals and conferences. I am committed to contributing to innovative, sustainable, and practical solutions in civil and environmental engineering.
