Soumya Kanti Dhara is an Assistant Professor (Grade III) in the Department of Management & Social Science at Haldia Institute of Technology, West Bengal, where he has been serving since 2008. He has an industry experience of 1 year from J. D. Enterprise (Electrical Engineers & Manufacturers), Kolkata. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at EIILM, Kolkata under Vidyasagar University. He holds an MBA with specialization in Systems and Marketing and a B.E. in Electronics & Telecommunication. His teaching and research interests include Management Information Systems, Electronic Instrumentation Information Systems, Rural Marketing, Consumer Behaviour, E-Commerce, and Digital Technologies. He has extensive teaching experience across MBA, M.Tech, and B.Tech programs and also served as an Academic Counselor for IGNOU. He has published numerous research papers in reputed national and international journals and conference proceedings, authored books and book chapters, and actively contributed as a resource person in academic and industry-oriented training programs.
