Asit Kumar Mondal, M.Tech from Kalyani Government Engineering College, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Haldia Institute of Technology. He was recognized as an NPTEL Topper in 2024 for the courses Power System Protection and Smart Grid. His research interests focus on power system protection and fault current mitigation, with published contributions in areas such as Passive Magnetic Fault Current Limiters (PMFCL), current transformer (CT) saturation, stability improvement in power system, differential and restricted earth fault (REF) protection. His work is directed toward enhancing the sensitivity, reliability, and stability of modern distribution networks, transformers, and generators.
