Dr. Manas Sarkar is an Assistant Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at Haldia Institute of Technology with over 16 years of academic experience and 9 years of research experience in computer vision, generative AI, machine learning, deep learning, and control system. He completed his Ph.D. from Calcutta University following an M.Tech in Instrumentation & Control. His technical expertise spans Python, MATLAB, TensorFlow, PyTorch, CNNs, RNNs, transformers, YOLO, LangChain, RAG systems, and Streamlit application deployment. Dr. Sarkar has worked extensively on AI-powered solutions including RAG-based systems. He has published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and conference papers, member of different FDP and conference organizing committee, speaker of several workshop, session chair of a symposium and holds two accepted patents on AI-driven systems. His teaching interests include control systems, digital signal processing, basic electrical engineering, machine learning, and deep learning.
