Dr. Somak Jyoti Sahu, Associate Professor of Chemical engineering Department in Haldia Institute of Technology did B.Tech from Haldia Institute of Technology in 2001, M.Tech and Ph.D from Jadavpur University in the year 2003 and 2015 respectively. He is a life member of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers and Institute of Engineers India.
He has vast research experience on waste water treatment, product development, designing control system etc. He received one patent for the process of removal of color from fatty acid, Patent number: 292435, 31.1.2018.
Dr. Mandal demonstrated his technical skills through continuous consultancy in industries such as Rosoi limited West Bengal, Grow Capital for Trading Estd. Al-jazerah, Riyadh etc.
He has almost 18 years teaching experience in Process Synthesis, Modeling, Simulation, and Control, also delivered significant numbers of expert lectures in internship, entrepreneurship development training and startup programs. He has coordinated number of training programs for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
He has published more than forty journal/ conference with national/ international repute.
