Dr. Prabir Panja is working as an Associate Professor of Mathematics in the Department of Applied Science & Humanities at Haldia Institute of Technology, Haldia, West Bengal, India. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mathematical Biology from Vidyasagar University in 2017, after completing his M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics with specialization in Operations Research in 2012 and B.Sc. in Mathematics in 2010 from the same university. He teaches Operations Research, Numerical Analysis, Engineering Mathematics, Discrete Mathematics, and related subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His research interests include mathematical modeling of ecological and epidemiological systems. Dr. Panja has published over 50 research articles in reputed international journals such as Nonlinear Dynamics, Chaos, Solitons & Fractals, Computational and Applied Mathematics, and International Journal of Biomathematics. He has also contributed book chapters published by Narosa and CRC Press. He serves as a reviewer for several international journals and has organized four international conferences between 2019 and 2025.
