Dr. Arkajyoti Chakrabarty is an academic researcher and educator specializing in chemistry and materials science, with a particular focus on nanomaterials synthesis and supramolecular systems. He has conducted research on topics such as nanoparticle synthesis, colloidal nanocrystals, and bile-acid-derived gels, contributing to advancements in the controlled synthesis and assembly of nanostructured materials.
Dr. Chakrabarty holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Organic Chemistry, IISc Bengaluru, and carried out post-doctoral research at the University of Bordeaux, France and has been affiliated with institutions including the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, where he worked on semiconductor nanocrystals and hybrid materials. His publications explore innovative approaches for shape-controlled nanocrystal synthesis and hydrogel-mediated self-assembly, reflecting his expertise in functional nanomaterials.
Currently, he serves as an Assistant Professor in the School of Applied Sciences and Humanities at Haldia Institute of Technology in West Bengal, India, where he teaches and mentors students while continuing his research activities, e.g. literature review, paper reviews, etc.
