About ARNAB DAS
Arnab Das is a PhD in English from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. His research participates in postcolonial literary studies, environmental humanities, and historical narratives of the Indian Ocean world with a particular focus on questions of landscape, labour, and narrative memory. He also writes poetry and short fiction that touches upon themes of displacement, quotidian intimacies, and the changing textures of contemporary experience. His creative writing often fuses realism with subtle moments of the uncanny, mined from literary traditions and lived geographies alike. Whether through scholarly research or storytelling, he is interested in how language preserves fragile histories of place, community and imagination.
