Dr. Soumen Samanta is currently an Assistant Professor [Mathematics] in the Department of Applied Science and Humanities at Haldia Institute of Technology, West Bengal, India. Before that he has served as Assistant Professor of Mathematics at IIEST, Shibpur. He has experience in teaching mathematics both at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. He has obtained his Master of Science degree from University of Calcutta, India and Ph.D. degree in the field of Quantum Information Theory from Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, India. Dr. Samanta has specialized on Quantum Communication Science. He has particularly worked on Quantum Teleportation, Quantum Remote State Preparation and other quantum communication protocols. Dr. Samanta has contributed significantly to the field of Quantum Information Theory through more than 30 research articles in different SCI/SCOPUS indexed journals published from publishing houses like Elsevier, Springer, World Scientific, Taylor & Francis and IOP Science. He has also published a book entitled “Mathematical Theory of Quantum Teleportation Protocols: An Introduction for Scientists and Engineers” with CRC Press (Taylor & Francis).
