About CHINMAY SAHA

Chinmay Saha is a passionate mathematician and educator with a strong academic background and commitment to both teaching and research. He holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mathematics from the University of Burdwan, where he built a solid foundation in pure and applied mathematical principles, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving techniques.

He has successfully qualified the highly competitive CSIR NET examination, a national-level qualification that recognizes his research potential and eligibility for lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship positions across India.

At present, Chinmay serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Haldia Institute of Technology, Haldia, West Bengal. In this role, he enthusiastically teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students, delivering courses across various branches of mathematics while encouraging logical thinking, conceptual clarity, and a deeper appreciation for the subject among his learners.

Parallel to his teaching career, he is actively pursuing his PhD from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), West Bengal, which he began in 2022. Through his doctoral research, he aims to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of mathematical knowledge in his chosen specialization.

Chinmay Saha's research interests lie in production inventory models and advanced operations research. He focuses on optimizing inventory systems in manufacturing environmentsincluding economic production quantity (EPQ) modelsstochastic demand scenariosimperfect production processesand supply chain uncertainties. His work explores cost minimizationreplenishment policiesand integration of fuzzy or uncertain parameters to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making in complex production-inventory systems.
