Suraj Prakash Dandapat is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Haldia Institute of Technology with over six years of teaching and academic experience. He holds an M.Tech in Water Resources Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, and is currently pursuing a PhD from Jadavpur University. His areas of expertise include rainfall–runoff modelling, hydrological and hydraulic simulation, and analysis of water resources systems. He is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, project guidance, and research mentoring. Mr Dandapat has also made significant contributions to institutional development through his involvement in the NBA and NAAC accreditation processes, curriculum design, and examination activities. He regularly participates in seminars, workshops, and faculty development programs, and strives to promote outcome-based education and quality assurance in engineering education.
