Dr. Avishek Adhikary is an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Civil Engineering at Haldia Institute of Technology, Haldia, West Bengal, India. He has a Ph.D in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Durgapur, Durgapur, West Bengal, India, and obtained a Master of Technology from the same institution in the Environmental Science and Technology specialization. Dr. Adhikary has working experience in the research areas: Environmental Engineering, Geo-environmental Engineering, Solute transport through porous media, Industrial wastewater treatment. Recently, he started research activities in the field of Electro-kinetic treatment for recovery of contaminants.
Dr. Adhikary has worked as an investigator of one research project on “Grossly Polluting Industries (GPIs) inspection by National Institute of Technology Durgapur in Main stem States of River Ganga”, funded by CPCB, GoI. Dr. Adhikary has several publications in Peer Reviewed International and National SCI, Scopus, and Web of Science indexed Journals. Moreover, he published 7 research articles as book chapters. Dr. Adhikary has several publications in the Proceedings of International / National Conferences.
