Dr. Tilak Raj Maity is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Haldia Institute of Technology, West Bengal. He holds a B.Tech, M.Tech, and PhD in Biotechnology from MAKAUT, WB. With a decade of extensive teaching and research experience, he specializes in Plant Tissue Culture Engineering. His current research focuses on LED-modulated in vitro and in vivo mass production systems and the development of plant-based bioassay systems for screening anticancer lead molecules. His broader interests extend in the fields of Plant Biotechnology, Sustainable Agriculture, and Environmental Science. Dr. Maity has a prolific academic record with 18 journal articles, 2 book chapters, 6 conference publications, 2 patents, and a copyright. Notably, he received the Outstanding Paper Award at the West Bengal State Science and Technology Congress in 2019, reflecting his significant contributions to the field of biotechnological research and innovation.
