About Swati Maiti

Dr. Swati Maiti is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Haldia Institute of Technology, West Bengal, India. She holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from MAKAUT, with specialization in environmental toxicology and bioremediation. Her research focuses on biosensing, bioremediation of emerging pollutants, biomedical instrumentation, and sustainable waste recycling. She has served as a Visiting Fellow at Tel Aviv University, Israel, and has research experience at CSIR-IICB, Kolkata. Dr. Maiti has published extensively in high-impact international journals and holds multiple Indian patent applications in non-invasive biomedical diagnostics. With over 200 citations, she actively contributes to sustainable environmental solutions through microbial technologies and interdisciplinary research. She is also involved in mentoring student research projects and guiding doctoral research.
