Dr. Kushal Roy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT), Haldia, West Bengal. He joined the institute in July 2006 and has been actively involved in teaching and research in areas such as optical fiber communication, instrumentation, and advanced communication systems. Dr. Roy earned his B.E. in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (Hons.) and an M.Instr.Phil. in Instrumentation from IIT Roorkee, where he was a Gold Medalist.He completed his Ph.D (Engineering) on nonlinear and coupling optics in 2023. At HIT, he teaches a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses and has contributed to several research publications and books, including works on optical fiber communications and nano-ceramic sensors. In addition to his academic duties, he has participated in organizing technical events and research activities within the department.
