Dr. Uday Maji is a distinguished academic and researcher currently serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Applied Electronics and Instrumentation at Haldia Institute of Technology. He holds a PhD in Biomedical Signal Processing from Calcutta University and M.Tech from Jadavpur University and a strong performance in the GATE 2005 examination.
With over a decade of specialized experience, Dr. Maji’s expertise lies at the intersection of Biomedical Instrumentation, IoT, and Machine Learning. His research focuses on developing data-adaptive techniques for characterizing cardiac abnormalities, such as Atrial Fibrillation. He is a prolific author with numerous publications in prestigious journals like IEEE Sensors and Expert Systems With Applications. Beyond research, he has held significant leadership roles, including Hostel Superintendent and In-charge of departmental projects, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to institutional growth and student development.
