About Debadatta Ghosh

I am currently serving as the In-Charge of the Industry Institute Partnership Cell, In-Charge of the Business Incubator at HIT, Co-Coordinator of the HIT-AICTE IDEA Lab, and Convener of the Institute’s Innovation and Skill initiatives. Through these roles, I actively promote industry collaboration, innovation, entrepreneurship, and skill development among students. In the past, I have served as Head of the Department (AEIE), Convener of the Examination Committee, Provost of Hostels, In-Charge of Corporate Relations, and have also contributed to the Training Cell of HIT. These diverse responsibilities have provided me with extensive experience in academic leadership, institutional administration, student mentoring, and industry engagement. I continuously strive to strengthen academic excellence, foster innovation-driven learning, and build meaningful connections between the institute and industry for the holistic development of students and the institution. My teaching thrust areas include Analog Electronics, Power Electronics, Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Measurement and Instrumentation, Electrical Machines, VLSI and Microelectronics, Power Plant Instrumentation and Control, and Process Control and Measurement. Through these subjects, I focus on building strong theoretical foundations while emphasizing practical applications and industry relevance. I aim to develop analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and hands-on competence among students, preparing them to meet the evolving demands of core engineering industries and emerging technological domains.
