Dr. Santanab Giri obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Chemistry from Vidyasagar University. In 2006, he joined the Ph.D. program in the Department of Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, working under the supervision of Professor Pratim Kumar Chattaraj. He completed his doctoral degree in 2011 and subsequently pursued post‑doctoral research at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Chile, and Virginia Commonwealth University, USA.
After his post‑doctoral tenure, Dr. Giri served as a DST‑INSPIRE Faculty at NIT Warangal and later at NIT Rourkela. In 2019, he joined Haldia Institute of Technology, where he is currently an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Applied Science and Humanities.
Dr. Giri has published more than 180 research papers and has successfully supervised four Ph.D. scholars. He has successfully completed 3 projects sponsored by SERB, DST Govt. of India
