Dr. Sk Maidul Islam is an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Technology at Haldia Institute of Technology, West Bengal, India. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), with research focused on fashion image retrieval using deep learning. He has over 17 years of experience in teaching and research. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Federated Learning, and Image Retrieval. Dr. Islam has published research papers in reputed international journals such as ACM Computing Surveys, Multimedia Tools and Applications, and the International Journal of Multimedia Information Retrieval. He also serves as a reviewer for several international journals and conferences.
