Dr. Indranil Dey is an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Haldia Institute of Technology, where he has been serving since January 05, 2015. He received his B.Tech degree in 2012 from West Bengal University of Technology, followed by an M.Tech in Process Control and Instrumentation Engineering from NIT Tiruchirappalli in 2014. He completed his Ph.D. in 2024 from NIT Warangal, specializing in advanced control strategies for biological wastewater treatment plants.

Dr. Dey qualified GATE 2012 with an All India Rank of 107 (Score: 654). His research interests include advanced and intelligent control systems, soft computing, energy-efficient wastewater treatment, PEM fuel cell control, and industrial automation. He has published several papers in reputed SCI/SCIE journals and actively contributes to interdisciplinary research integrating control engineering, sustainability, and AI-based systems.
