Dr. Bidyut Das is an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Technology at Haldia Institute of Technology. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal. He has received several academic excellence awards, including a gold medal in his M.Sc. and a silver medal in his M.Tech. He has also been honoured with the prestigious INSPIRE fellowship from the DST, Government of India. Prior to his current role, he served as a Research Assistant at IIT Kharagpur and as a Lecturer at Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur. His research interests include ICT-enabled education, natural language processing, computer vision, deep learning, and digital microfluidic biochips. He has published extensively in SCI-indexed journals and presented at leading international conferences. He also contributes to the academic community as a reviewer and editor for several reputed international journals.
